How to Increase Your Laptop Battery Life

A lot of people are killing their laptop battery life unknowingly, and the funny thing is that you might be one of them. If you want to learn how you’re killing your laptops battery life so as to prevent it, make sure to read this post carefully.

Tips on How to increase Laptop Battery Life
There are many ways to do it, however, if you could follow the below mentioned simple tips, you will be able to increase the laptop battery life. Following are the main issue which are responsible for consuming most of the battery life. Hence, if you could avoid these, that would make you and your laptop battery happy.

You Install and Use a Lot of Software and Hardware Simultaneously
I have some friends who use a new computer only to start complaining about it giving problems a few months later, by the time I look into it I see that the problem is that they really don’t know how to use their laptops – they keep on installing every software application they find on their laptop.

It doesn’t matter whether it is a desktop computer or a laptop, the more programs installed and the more applications running at the same time, the more computer resources you’re using – and this means danger for your laptop battery.

Make sure you only install applications that you really need and try not to run more than a few programs at the same time. Doing this will help you save your laptop’s battery life.

You Keep on Increasing the Laptop Brightness Unnecessarily
Another thing you might be doing unknowingly that might be damaging your laptop battery life is increasing your laptop’s battery unnecessarily. The brighter your laptop is the more of your battery it uses and the lesser your battery will last. It is very important for you to optimize your laptop’s brightness for optimal usage. This means you shouldn’t just increase it unnecessarily and whenever you increase it you should make sure you decrease it when you’re done with it.

Some little tweaks like this can save you great battery power.

You play a lot of Games on Your Old Laptop
Do you know that a lot of 3D games made today use a very heavy portion of your computer graphics, which in turn uses a large percentage of your computer memory and other resources? This can be a great source of problem if you’re using an old laptop with poor configurations so it is either you look for a way to upgrade your computer components or get a new one, and if you aren’t ready to get a new one it is better to be careful with which games you install and play on your laptop.
